Effective date: 14 March 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings, events, studio sessions, workshops, parties, products and use of the F&L Events Studio website. By making a booking, placing an order, attending a session, or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. About Us
F&L Events Studio is a creative events and pottery painting studio based at Unit 1, Meikle Clinterty Farm, Aberdeen AB21 0TZ.
You can contact us by email at info@fandleventsstudio.com, by phone on 01224 004099, or through the contact form on our website.
2. Bookings
Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once we have accepted your booking request and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Please check your booking details carefully. You are responsible for telling us if any booking information is wrong, including dates, times, number of guests, accessibility needs, allergies or other relevant requirements.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or amend a booking where necessary, including where there are safety concerns, errors in pricing or availability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
3. Deposits and Payments
A deposit may be required to secure your booking. Where stated, deposits are payable per person.
- Deposits are used to reserve your date, time, staff time, materials and studio capacity.
- Remaining balances must be paid in the time stated by us, or on the day if agreed in advance.
- Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of your booking.
If you cancel, we may keep a fair amount from any deposit or payment to cover losses and costs we reasonably incur because of the cancellation. This may include reserved studio capacity, materials prepared, payment processing costs and loss of profit where we cannot reasonably rebook the space.
4. Cancellations, Cooling-Off Rights and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.
- Where your booking is for a leisure activity, event, party, workshop or session on a specific date or during a specific period, statutory 14-day cancellation rights may not apply.
- Where cancellation rights do apply, we will honour them in line with applicable consumer law.
- Where possible, we may allow one reschedule with reasonable notice, subject to availability.
- Short-notice cancellations or non-attendance may result in loss of some or all of your deposit or payment, depending on the costs and losses we reasonably incur.
If we have to cancel your booking due to circumstances within our control, we will offer either a rescheduled date or a refund of any sums paid for the affected booking.
5. Group Bookings, Parties and Private Events
For parties, private hire and group bookings, the booking organiser is responsible for providing accurate numbers and acting as the main contact.
- Final guest numbers may need to be confirmed in advance.
- We may charge based on confirmed numbers, minimum group size, or materials prepared.
- Children attending parties or sessions must be supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult where required.
6. Arrival Times and Late Arrival
Please arrive on time for your session. Late arrival may reduce your session time. In some cases, we may be unable to extend your booking if another booking follows.
7. Studio Rules and Behaviour
We want F&L Events Studio to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.
- Please treat our staff, guests, venue, furniture, tools and materials with respect.
- We may refuse entry or end a session without refund where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, disruptive or inappropriate.
- You must follow any health, safety and staff instructions while on the premises.
8. Pottery, Glassware and Creative Items
Hand-painted pottery, ceramics, glassware and other creative pieces are handmade and individual results will vary.
- Colours, finishes and final outcomes may vary after firing or processing.
- Minor imperfections can occur as part of the handmade and firing process.
- Completion and collection times may vary depending on the item and process involved.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong, please contact us as soon as possible so we can look into it.
9. Breakages, Firing Faults and Damage
Reasonable care is taken at all times, but ceramics and glass can be fragile and firing can occasionally produce unexpected results.
- We are not responsible for breakage, cracking, firing faults or loss where this happens due to the nature of ceramics, glass, materials, customer handling, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- If an issue is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will discuss an appropriate remedy with you.
- Deliberate or reckless damage caused by a guest may be charged to the booking organiser or responsible person.
10. Collections and Unclaimed Items
Where items are to be collected later, we will aim to let you know when they are ready. Please collect completed items within a reasonable time.
If items are left uncollected for more than 90 days after we have told you they are ready, we may no longer be able to store them. We will try to contact you before disposing of or donating uncollected items.
11. Gift Vouchers and Promotions
Gift vouchers, promotional offers and special discounts are subject to any additional terms stated at the time of issue.
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable unless required by law.
- Promotions cannot usually be combined unless stated otherwise.
- Expired offers or vouchers may not be accepted.
12. Food, Drink and Allergies
Where food or drink is included or permitted, guests are responsible for informing us of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
If you bring your own food or drink, you are responsible for ensuring it is suitable for your group and for using it safely and responsibly.
13. Health, Safety and Accessibility
You are responsible for ensuring that you and any members of your group are fit to take part in the activity booked. Please tell us in advance about any relevant accessibility requirements, medical considerations, allergies or anything we may reasonably need to know to support your visit.
14. Photography and Social Media
We may occasionally take photos or videos in the studio for marketing and social media. We will always aim to do this respectfully.
If you do not want you or your child to appear in any photography or video, please tell us at the start of your session.
You are welcome to take your own photos, but please be respectful of other guests and do not photograph or film others without their permission.

16. Prices, Stock and Availability
Prices, stock and availability may change. Where a genuine error is made in a price, description or availability, we may correct the error and contact you to agree the next steps.
Some pottery, glassware or creative items may be unavailable on the day of your visit. We will try to offer suitable alternatives where possible.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory consumer rights, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, our liability for any claim arising out of a booking, visit, purchase or use of the website shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant booking, service or product.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or matters outside our reasonable control.
18. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your own belongings while visiting the studio. We do not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal items unless caused by our negligence.
19. Privacy and Cookies
Your use of this website and any personal data you provide are also governed by our Privacy Notice.

20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page. The terms that apply to your booking will usually be the terms in place when your booking was confirmed, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
21. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
